On the occasion of World Media Freedom Day, we are particularly pleased to invite you to a round table on the topic of Journalists and photojournalists in the Homeland War on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Museum of the Homeland War Karlovac - Turanj.
The UN General Assembly declared May 3 as World Press Freedom Day. Since 1993, on this day, we have been reminded of the importance of promoting freedom of expression and information, as well as the independence of journalists and the media. This year, on May 3, we will organize a round table meeting with war journalists and photojournalists who during the Homeland War conveyed the truth about the events in Croatia to the world at the Museum of the Homeland War in Karlovac - Turanj. With a short presentation and video clips, he will convey part of his rich experience and remind us of the importance and role of the media in the Homeland War.
After the presentation of the invited participants, a moderated oral exchange of opinions, attitudes, and impressions is planned between the visitors present and the invited participants. The author of the program is senior curator Ružica Stjepanović.
